St Benedict’s College in Bedfordview hosted the penultimate Gathering of the year. As usual the weather was normal for this gathering with its cold wind and cloudy skies, but luckily it cleared up later on and the sun shone through.
In the top grade, the Transvaal Scottish continued to build their momentum ahead of their tour to the World Pipe Band Championships in Glasgow next month. They took the overall for the day which secured the title of Regional Champions 2015. The drum corps also won the day and the Regional title.
The South African Championships, the final gathering of the year, will be held on Saturday 25th July at Benoni High School. We are very happy to welcome P/M Jim Murray and L/D Gary Potter who will be a part of the adjudication panel this year.
